Jim Harrington -
Founder of Terence James Systems
Professional Experience: 49 years
Jim & co-founder, Terry Baxter, started TJ systems in ’79. Since then, Jim has been involved in many varied projects around the world & has a wealth of experience in both project managing and ensuring that the company writes quality software to defined standards.
Jim also makes & races radio controlled cars
Gary Rockell -
Senior Developer + Project Manager
Professional Experience: 24 years
Gary has a background in a variety of businesses where he was lead developer on many projects before joining TJ Systems. With significant experience in many different programming languages, Gary specialises in web-based applications.
Gary is a keen DIYer. Fixing cameras, building patios or creating Thai meals - the list is varied!
Brian Seymour -
Senior Developer + Project Manager
Professional Experience: 18 years
Brian started programming applications for personal use before deciding to turn his hobby into a career. A prominent member of our PC & Web development team, he has cultivated an extensive understanding of client-specific applications and is responsible for a large part of our R & D.
Brian is also the 2019 British Model Aircraft Flying Champion
Chris Baxter -
Senior Consultant + Project Manager
Professional Experience: 35 years
Chris is adept at understanding clients' varying business needs and facilitating TJ Systems to produce quality software that is on point! Our clients highly value and trust his ability to tailor software applications to suit those specific requirements.
Chris plays the Ukulele, loves a good Wetherspoons (but thinks bad ones still have their merit!)
Kieron Browne -
Software Developer
Professional Experience: 47 years
Kieron's experience includes consultancy and analysis, design, programming and project management. He has played a large part in the ongoing development of our Accounting application ensuring it's continual evolution as operating systems or technologies evolve.
Kieron's also an avid sports follower who's been going to Craven Cottage for 57 years
Mark Fenton -
Software Developer
Professional Experience: 40 years
With 40 years hands-on experience of the full software life-cycle, Mark has gained a proven track-record of successful development; ranging from robust departmental applications, to long-term projects for multinational blue-chip companies in over 30 countries worldwide.
Mark is also a part time DJ on a Soul radio station
Shaylen Patel-Shah
Software Developer
Professional Experience: 2 years
Shaylen joined TJ Systems in October 2022 as a Degree Apprentice. Pursuing a Digital Technology Solutions degree at the University of West London, he's now in his third year, specialising in software development and database management while contributing to our live projects.
Whilst away from the office, Shaylen can be found challenging lap records at go-kart tracks!
Ben Thompson -
Software Developer
Professional Experience: 5 years
Ben, a passionate coder since childhood, pursued Software Engineering at University. He excelled, achieving First Class Honors while contributing to open-source projects and developing personal projects. Now at TJ Systems, Ben is involved with both internal development tools and customer software development.
Ben always treats himself to a Friday lunchtime pepperoni pizza!

"Occasionally we get calls for Mr Terence James; it causes a chuckle because the business was actually built by Terry Baxter and James Harrington in 1979.
We believe FMA, first live use 1980, to have been the world’s first multi-currency, distributed computing accounts package. Multinational reporting and multi-language features remain key strengths of the TJ Accounting product which we continue to refresh and enhance for the prevailing functional and technical requirements of small, medium and large organisations; a project which will continue until long after the cows come home.
Somewhere along the line our customers started asking us to develop other applications, so we diversified; if you need a business application, we like to think we are more qualified than most to produce a splendid result for you."
